i like to paint stuff but dont understand why people want to rattlecan a gun. Atleast put cerakote, as guns hold their value. Why ruin it with paint?

I have one i got in a trade that was canned and to resell has been APITA

from what I've gathered, its about $200 average for upper, lower, and freefloat for a single color coat.
