Supply and demand. If someone offers me $100 for an item and another person offers me $200, I'm gonna go with the $200 offer. I have overpaid for things before because I really wanted them. Nobody is making me do it. I do not like the prices being spiked or the prospect of rising costs in the future for ammo, guns, etc...But I also have a choice to buy or not buy. If you purchase an item, then obviously, to you, it is indeed worth the asking price.

There is a huge difference between jacking up the price of a Pmag versus selling generators for double the price in the wake of a hurricane.
