Please try a local dog pound to save a puppy. They are nowhere near even $100. We are looking now for you but there was a 5 month old Shephard puppy at the Conyers pound a few days ago asking anyone to please adopt! When you go to pet stores there will usually be higher fees.

It cost $175 to adopt a dog and $125 to adopt a cat in Bartow County. I would pay that before buying a dog, but I see why so many are left behind when people give them away. We donate to them at times and my daughters Girl Scouts troop have volunteered down there before. It's a sad place.

I posted this a couple of weeks ago but its still good. Adoption fee of $25 includes spay/neuter, rabies, fvrcp (for cats), dhpp (for dogs), heartworm test for dogs, bordetella for dogs, deworming, and it even includes micro chipping! Can't beat that anywhere! Ends on last day of December.

This handsome little fellow was apprehended by lagrange police department for being adorable , without colar, tag, insurance and driving without a license. If someone doesn't claim him he will be available for adoption at lagrange animal shelter. He was super friendly.

Wish I could do something to help.just got a wonderful lab Husky mix from our local shelter.

That must make for a pretty dog. I wish I could give him this jack Russell we have. But Lester is spoken for.

Are some shelters cheaper than others? We went to petsmart yesterday and the humane society was charging 200 dollars to rescue mixed breeds.

Yeah, the shelters that work with Petsmart are pretty proud of their dogs and cats. If you check Craigslist you should be able to find dozens of free dogs.

Yes, check the county shelter and ask a vet about rescue shelters.

Did you find a pup for your son yet? I have a 5 month old yellow lab male that needs a boy to play with. I posted for $150 but will take whatever you can afford if you want him for your boy.
