Fulton Arms/ Hunter Arms single shot shotgun repair help

Good afternoon everyone. I am looking for someone who can help me out with repairing this old shotgun if at all possible. The bolt that the barrel rotates on when breaking open is worn and missing the lock down part. I have been ISO for a while with no luck. I am wondering if someone can make a new for me. I would try but the bolt is tapered and I don’t have the right equipment/tools for this. There might also be some play in the lug the bolt runs through and is tapered as well. Looking forward to any suggestions or names that can help. I am located just south of Hartsfield airport, so looking for someone around the area as I can’t travel to far at this time Thanks in advance for any incoming info.

I use to have one of those in box of parts. If I remember correctly it was complete. Needed a stock. Give me a day or two to look for it. If I still have it, it’s hurried I a trunk under a bunch of other parts in my closet

Shoutout to loadnplenty for helping out with the pin/screw I needed to tighten things up. Now my next question would be the best method for cleaning/sanding to get a nice smooth finish in the end. Planning on using some of the cold bluing stuff but going for a darker almost black finish. As you can see it has some pitting in areas but very minimal. I just don’t want those ares showing up in the later stages and have to completely start over

Updated on the Fulton Arms restoration. I have taken a little time here and there and done some sanding and buffing for rebluing, starting with the receiver. Started out with 150# then to 220# then 400# and some light buffing with 0000 steel wool. My issue now is I am kinda digging the semi polished with the slight patina on the receiver only and leaving the rest of it alone. This would be the barrel, trigger and guard, hammer, and barrel break lever. If I polish it up a little more how should I go about sealing it to prevent any rusting in the future. What say the ODT brain trust!!!!

I was finally able to get to reblueing the Fulton arms shotgun I have been restoring. This was my first restore on a firearm and actually went better than I originally thought. Yes I had a few parts that for some reason didn’t won’t to take the blueing but kept working and trying different things and finally got it to take. I was hoping for a darker blue almost black finish but that didn’t happen but I am happy with the end result. Now to refinish the stock and handgaurd so they match a little better color wise. However I do like the reddish color on the stock so I am hoping to rematch that color fairly closely.

I think that shade of bluing suits the gun well. I tend to prefer restorative bluing on older guns to be more grey in color to make the job less obvious. Nice work on your first deep dive.

The more I look at it and hold it, the color has been growing with me. I mean I didn’t expect it to come out like it was bought new from the Hardware store. 🤣 Thanks for the engagement. It was fun and would be willing to do more if they gross my path.
