Fun Law Enforcement Qualification

thank you for pointing that out Kevin. You are right.
I recall some of the shooting being one-handed, but that could have been that the agency I was with required a more stringent course of fire than the state minimum.
I will edit my first post.

it's 30 rounds fired for record. In case you have a malfunction or dud round you might want to bring a few extra cartridges.

All you "need" is

(A) a belt holster on your strong side (one you can re-holster into quickly without having to fumble or spread the holster open with your fingers while you're trying to push the gun down into it ).

(B) one spare magazine, and

(C) one magazine pouch/carrier on your belt.

Uniformed officers and deputies would typically use a retention holster with security features that have to be defeated during the draw, but for us will skip that.
Any normal holster that keeps the muzzle of the weapon pointed downward as you carry it is fine.

It was cancelled due to lack of interest.
We needed at least 8 people to commit to get the range reserved.
I'll do this on my own some day this fall.
if anybody wants to go with me in the Cumming or Canton / Holly Springs area, give me a shout-out. Preferably somebody with a shot timer
; I don't own one, but I do have a stopwatch.
