Hey guys, I have a G17, 3rd gen and was wondering about the legality for IDPA of putting on and extended slide release and mag release? Will I still be able to shoot SSP or will this put me into ESP? What other mods are SSP legal? specifically 3.5# trigger?

Thanks for your help,
Caleb

All three are IDPA SSP and USPSA Production legal.

The extended controls are specifically named in the IDPA rule book for Glocks.

The connector falls under internal trigger work.

There are some extended mag releases that are not USPSA Production legal ... its retarded that they arent legal but they arent due to the size of them they dont represent a stock piece.

extended mag and slide release will both be glock factory parts installed by armorer, I should be good to go then correct? Im just not trying to get myself into the esp division atm with all the custom STI's and such.

Be careful with the Glock extended release if you have a thumbs forward hold. After I switched on my 17 my right thumb was riding it just enough in my normal grip to prevent the slide locking on the last round.
