G19 Gen 5 Magazine +2 Issue

Having some issues with my Gen 5 G19 mags taking factory +2 extensions. Has anyone had the issue of the insert not allowing the extended floor plate to be locked back into place, therefore only holding 16 rounds vs the +2 17?

After a call to Glock, it turns out factory mag extensions are not designed for the Gen 5 magazines of any type yet. FYI.
