[GA] Is it illegal to get someone to buy you ammo?

Looked into a job at Bass Pro once, and the employee discount did not apply to ammo (and a few other things).

Might want to double check on this.

I think it "could be" illegal to help a person you know, or reasonably believe is, a "prohibited person" obtain ammo.
This isn't explicitly stated by the general "prohibited person" law of 18 USC 922(g).
But I'd say that the crime would be one of a co-conspirator at that point.
In effect, you'd be assisting in the commission of the crime. Accessory before the fact. Inchoate liability.

As for selling ammo from an FFL dealership, I don't think it's an issue that the employee is a "straw buyer" for an unidentified actual buyer / friend. There's no recordkeeping requirements for ammo that identifies the retail buyers anymore. (There was such a law from 1968-1986). There's no form to fill out for ammo, saying you swear you're the actual buyer, not acting as an agent for some other buyer.
