Gas Prices WOW!

Hmmmm, good insight petro. So wall street is banking off of us while we get raped huh. Sounds about normal lol.

Nothing new there on Wall Street. According to some of the market experts the influx of speculators are again helping to drive the price up. Congress needs to get back on their investigating and they'll (speculators) start backing off again I'll bet. Probably big oil execs doing the speculating anyway. They (congressional commity) proposed new regulations on unverified speculators, but I don't think anythings came through yet. I'd have to research it. Nothing meant to start anything, but I think Jeep is the one of the best research guys on the Board. I'm reloading this morning in the Garage or I'd check into it myself. I hate working off the laptop, my typing skills suck. back to the bench.

Another orginal owner XD 45 followed me home with box and 3 clips, I even know the boy's father that I work with. Gas was around 3.28 in Brunswick. The S&W were way too high, and not much walking traffic.

Oil is a commodity and speculating is the way its sold just like all agricultrial products, metals, even pork bellies, and its everymans for himself in the commodity world. Its a gamble in which they can win or lose, its also legal.

While speculation is Legal there were alot of questions raised by Congress back when gas was up $4+ per gallon. From what I remember they were saying that there are regulations that require reporting or tracking of who is behind the speculation of certain trades (possibly Illegal Trading practices going on) and that the Commidities Commission needs to further Investigate and Report on possible Regulatory changes that may need to be made to address the problem. You'd have to get a copy of the Hearings that were on Cspan back then. I'm no Wall Street wiz but that was what was being said back then. You know back when a bunch of the Oil Executives were testifing and were not sworn in, and then it was proven several Lied, but would not be held accountible. You can Google that.

Petro 58, I agree with everything said, but do know that buying/selling a commodity can be investigated for wrong doing and have seen such but its widely known that collusion and price fixing is highly illegal which is what they're trying to prevent in the oil market which would be almost impossible to price-fix oil since there so many people involved in the industry and not just Americans. Congressional hearing and passed laws affect only Americans and would be laughed at by the drivers of overseas markets which in the case of oil is the power in this oil market. I have for years dabbeled in the futures market and I stay away from oil just for that reason (foriegn powers do not have to play by American rules/laws).
