Same ole bait and switch tacticsIs it true every cloud has a silver lining?
If so, while ga$ prices are up, might be
good time to get one of the last V-8
Challenger or Chargers at a di$count!
Then again, the turbo inline six replacement
sounds interesting too.
Saw a vid last night guys going to dealership
to ck out an SRT Durango advertised for $93K
Got there, dealer had msrp plus $40K markup
on all their vehicles. So the Durango was $133K
Same markup on $50K Mustangs. Glad i don't
need a new vehicle (knock on head)
Even the base model KIA Soul has a $4000 ‘availability’ markup due to short supplies. Is it true every cloud has a silver lining?

The hail you say!Even the base model KIA Soul has a $4000 ‘availability’ markup due to short supplies.
That’s 20% of msrp.
So...The Senate and the House has been unified more times under Republican control than Democrats...and there have been more Republican presidents than democrats last time I checked.People here always want to jump up and point fingers at Biden, but ignore all the stuff Trump did and continues to do.
I don’t like any politicians, I just stick to facts. There’s a reason why Republicans very rarely gain the Presidency or the House.
Unfortunately, my wife did not see it that way!The hail you say!
Also found out they switched (2018-2019?)
to a CVT type tranny instead of the 6 spd auto
they had previously. Base LX doesn't even offer
a manual anymore so unless a higher trim level
offers a manual guess it's IVT or nuthin'. Think
I'd rather have nuthin'.
There’s absolutely zero reason to continue fossil fuel expansion, when better alternatives are available and they have a better economic/ environmental impact. The only benefit oil has is for the billionaires that run those companies. The workers have been offered lateral jobs and free education to learn the new energy alternatives.
I've got four reasons to keep using fossil fuel. Three get me and my family around town, one cuts my grass. I suppose I could drop $70-$80K on electric cars to have a better environmental impact and let China rape the Earth for lithium.... But then again, how does the power get to the car again?
Well, there's a little from solar (components mined from China, not great if it's cloudy, ACRES clear cut for the panels), a little from hydroelectric (keeps Salmon from spawning, not everyone lives near mountains), some from wind (which kills migratory birds and bats), and a little from nuclear (which is clean and safe, using today's technology, but it takes about a million years to get a permit to build one), but most still comes from fossil fuels, and will for the foreseeable future.
I, and probably most of the people on this board, benefit from oil. I'd be willing to bet almost everyone with a 401k owns some stock in one of those evil oil companies.
I'm also glad those displaced workers who lost their jobs because the U.S. Government "changed it's mind" have been offered lateral jobs with new energy. "Hey, you don't mind moving to a totally different state, do you? Here's your 'free' re-education - no, seriously, NO ONE has to pay for it. It's FREE, man. What do you mean you're two years from retirement and like doing now and like living where you live? Well, we changed our mind."
