Gas Water Heater in Duluth - SOLVED - Thank You ODT

Current Water Heater is bad, and needs to be replaced.

I am looking at going to tankless since I have to replace it anyway.

Anybody have any experience with installers ?

House is in Duluth. System is gas.

There are some good tankless options with gas. The good ones are 2-3 times the cost of a tank plus installation and the ROI is not that great. They're great though if you have several teenagers.

I think the biggest expense with tankless is the special exhaust vents. If you don't have it mounted on an exterior wall it can get pretty expensive.

Don't know any installers...

Also big $$ to move the water lines to the outside

Tankless requires a large gas line
Either have to run a large line inside the house or run the water lines outside to the tankless heater
Where it can freeze

It does use less energy but costs a fortune to install
