Does it keep tripping? And Grainger might have one locally.

it stays tripped. Will not re-set. Have been advised that is called "breaker fatigue"

Older home (1986) no one in town had one in hand. Found one in Lawrenceville, got it to Athens. As you might infer, power has been restored.

Biggest issue other than finding the breaker was having the right tools. thank God for HF.

Removing the old breaker was a first class SOB, because the access holes took a small in OD socket - 3/8 socket but had to be a very skinny 3/8 socket.. They were cut for screwdriver, but whoever install it originally must have tack welded after he finished, be a screwdriver wouldn't budge them, even with a wrench on it.

i have all sorts of sockets, just not the sleek elegant kind that access hole required.

Want to give props to GA. Power. They were prompt in cutting the power, and prompt in restoring it at 7:30 tonight. They think I called in a licensed electrician, what they don't know want hurt them.

Two days down, frozen stuff still seems to be in good shape, tonight was going to be dry ice time if Ga. Power didn't show up.

Breaker was $300.00 - advised that having a licensed electrician replace it would have been a like amount or more, so I'm reasonably satisfied.

Once had large breaker wouldn't reset. Drilled hole the size of red tube on WD40, drilled into face of breaker just enough to clear the plastic thickness. Then stuck WD40 red spray tube into hole & gave it a shot. Worked breaker, finally the WD40 reached the problem and breaker was fine.
But be aware that WD40 is flammable so let fumes dissapate before attempting to reset. WD40 is like starting ether, will ignite, maybe even explode. Use at your risk.
