Gen 5 G19 Question

Why do some Gen 5's have front and rear grooves on the slide and some don't?
I bought a Gen 5 last year and it doesn't but I've seen several that do.
No big deal just curious about it.

yep! And in before all of the silly Glock perfection jokes. I personally like the look of the FS guns just a bit better.

Why? Because, it's easier to do press checks with serrations.

From what I have noticed, it seems like the early gen 5’s didn’t have them. Then the g45 came out, and seems like the new productions do.

The early release gen-5 19’s did not have front serrations. They also had a cut out on the front strap (to assist in ripping out the mag in the event of a failure). After much back lash Glock made some changes and all newer gen-5’s are what you see know. Yours is still a gen-5 in every way except for those two changes.
