Glock makes a visible difference across all models to help easily identify age. This will become very useful and is probably one of the reasons for doing this. When the gen one Glocks have all expired and been deemed for destruction they will all be easily recognizable. There will be no serial numbers to look up. The next batch to head to the crusher will be gen 2 and so on. Remember, there are no heirloom Glocks.
