Running the Ford Dual Fuel generator now with the power out. Fridge, internet, tv and AC on. Thanks again to @NWSharpshooter for the post about the HD sale and to 10thmountain for starting this thread. According GA Power 3+ hours before it is back on.

Here we are again. Hurricane going to hit the state . Don’t know yet where this one will make landfall. Charge yer solar batteries and make sure your gas gennys are good to go. ( obviously make sure you have food/ water / gas if you are in the path of this thing)

Looks like Ian will brush by us. Hope it’s worn down by the time it gets here.
Been bringing in stuff that’d fly easily, hopefully going for sandbags for the garage entrances tomorrow.
Lazy me never hooked up the genny transfer panel, or test ran the thing since moving last year. Maybe grab some gas and get it going tomorrow also, just be on extension cords instead of house wiring.
Not my usual bad weather prep, 35 years away from the coast made me complacent.
Hope it doesn’t bite me on the ass.

Saw a sign in LaGrange somewhere yesterday that said $3.99/gal.
