I appreciate your reply is not angry but more in the mindframe of a discussion..in that mindset..i ask..if all we had was a 6shooter revolver on your hip and a lever action rifle on your saddle..would you/us..would we all be SO underarmed?
If it was enough for John Wayne and the old west and it was enough for the hunters to hunt and for homeowners to defend their homes and ranchers to patrol...Would it be so unbearable?................i mean.In my mind or opinion,i could live with it,i just encourage everyone to calm down(and turn off the Fox news.LOL

The men of our nations history were armed with trhe weapons of their time. Why can't we be? Our forefathers fought with muskets and the rifles they hunted with. The west was won by the same guns whether in the hands of the cavalry or the cowboy. Do you forget that the Thompson was available to the public in full auto when first released? But now we can not even be trusted with the SEMI-auto version of what our soldiers carry? Is it the free men or the government which seeks to enslave them that is making the unreasonable demands? I say it is the government. Freedom is our right and we should damn well DEMAND and stand ready to FIGHT for it.

I have one more thought before I shut down my computer. By nature I'm a very trusting person when I can look someone in the eye and shake their hand. But I am very mistrustful of government. Keep in mind that we live in the age of the department of homeland security and the national defense authorization act. I believe many of us here are on the same page and feel the same way but care must be taken. Choose your words carefully because this forum is public. None of us know who is here or who is monitoring the things we say.

I repeat my plea to stand united in defense of our God given rights. To be effective, we must be organized and united. I extend my friendship and support to all that feel the same.

I have had this discussion with my wife and a few others. In my possession is the 48 star burial flag of my uncle killed on the beaches of Normandy. I heard my grandmother speak of losing 2 sons in WWII and know that the potential fight wold be costly and difficult. But a price must be paid to protect our rights if they are so trampled by the left. This will not be easy but it is required of ones determined to defend and protect our constitution.

You make good points..I can only speak for myself..I think we would be well armed without semi-auto weapons and with much,much less hassles from the .Govt if people would calm down and realize we will NOT be losing our "right to keep and bear"..

Me personally?..i have no problem with law abiding citizens owning whatever they choose including full auto weapons..fine with me.
after all passing more laws is NOT the answer..it was already illegal to murder 6year old school kids and it didnt stop it from happening..more laws are not the answer...i understand that.

But my several posts were only made to point out that people need to calm down..and realize that we can still today purchase what we could yesterday(nothing has been done yet)






I would also like to add that if these same people had gotten this emotional and spent THIS much $$$$money on our last/most recent Presidential election we would quite possibly NOT be in this situation.

How about we stay calm on the surface and just keep our panic "under the surface"? Cause brother, any government like we have now scares the **** out of me. And worse, the very fact that 51% of the voters VOTED for this government scares me even more. I gotta tell you, I am IN panic mode. But for your sake I'll try to remain outwardly calm. Deal?

I'm just a simple voice but I believe we are facing extraordinary times. I pray that we stand united in freedom instead of debating over exactly what the second amendment means exactly. In my opinion, the only moral role of government is to protect liberty, freedom and person from theft, harm or fraud. All else that government does is theft or slavery. There's nowhere else left to run folks. This is the last place on earth where freedom exists and it's disappearing fast.

I urge those that read this to unite and stand together. To be effective, we need to draw a line in the sand together, as free men.
