I am developing a website just for this reason. Pleasetake a look at it and let me know if you would like to get involved. It willtake time to lay everything out in a coherent manner. all I can say, is truckdriver is now on my never deal with list..Right now, I fight politically to keep what those before me have died for. I write representatives, sign petitions, and try to educate the uneducated. Should the time come come, I will handle matters differently.
During the revolutionary war we had established navy, army and marines, and it was a standing military, yet the constitution granted the peoples rights to bear arms. My family tree is filled with those that have fought to secure my freedom. My great grandfather flew for the flying tigers during wwii, my father was serving duty on a carrier during his time in the navy, and my step father was serving his country by providing support to operation enduring freedom at his base stationed in Turkey, the local papers covered it as a humanitarian effort, he was loading.munitions and ordinances on the planes for the national guard, my uncle was green beret during Vietnam although that's all he's ever said, in my cedar chest at my parents house, I have a shadow box of his medals. My grandfather was in the airforce although he never served in any wars, and my mother has been on nearly every us navy base and us carrier during her time working civilian contract for UNC/Boeing and most recently l3 vertex, she was a plane captain for 10 years and has been the plane captain for some of today's unsung heros and even a few blue angels have received their wings at my home town naval base, and my mom was one of the plane captains that launched them before they ever got their wings and carrier quals, the man who taught me how to be a man was also working on us carriers during the
desert storm, afterwards he too worked at nas meridian in the ame shop, where he maintains the cockpit, ejection seat, and canopy civil contract under l3 vertex, my father and family friend are also airframe technicians, and although I despise my father, he is perhaps the best airframe mechanic. After his tour in the navy, he worked at the navy base in beeville TX (where I was born, ccf can even vouch for that, its on every 4473 I sign) working on the A4 skyhawk until they moved to nas meridian, where he worked on them for several years until my father was sent to kingsville Texas and was trained to work on the T45 Goshawk, today he gets "pick of the litter" in overtime and detachments, as well as being a shop supervisor. While my father may be a royal asshole and am arrogant bastard, every pilot I have ever spoken to has told me they know when they fly in a plane he's worked on, they can trust it. My family in one way or another has either fought in the military or played a vital role, including my parents and family friends that work civilian contracting, afterall, fighter pilots have to train on regular jets before touching the real thing. Now, you ask why I haven't followed tradition? I made a 68 on the asvab and the recruiter was chomping at the bit to get me enlisted, however 4 years prior I had been diagnosed with epilepsy, and did not realize it would dq my service, so 6 months later I refused to give up, scheduled a eeg hoping to show no more symptoms (if the medical board ruled I was clear I would be able to enlist) but my dreams were crushed at age 18, while I may not be military, I will not stand back and let every effort my family members have made to secure my freedoms be stripped away with a pen, I AM THE MILITIA OF AMERICA! And like those before me, I will defend this great nation against enemies and tyrants, foreign and domestic, my constitution will NOT be the toilet paper of some powerhungry politician!! So trucklover or whatever, You can go **** YOURSELF if you think my rights aren't guaranteed!

This type of commentary on a public forum does nothing to further gun rights. It's great to feel passionately about something, but use your collective heads.
There might be 3 people that posted to this thread that would actually be willing to die for their right to bear arms.
The average American citizen wouldn't survive 30 days without the govt. regulating what they do.
If your weapons that have a capacity of 5 rounds or more were reclassified as class 3.
How many of you would either turn them into the govt., or register them and pay the taxes?
My guess would be about 95%.

Maintaining a certain lifestyle has nothing to do with the Constitution.
Retrieving hostages from a foreign country has nothing to do with the Constitution.
Oil has nothing to do with the Constitution.
Hint, if it wasn't on American soil, then it wasn't for our Constitution.

Forgive my heated post, coming from a military background I tend to get royally pissed when someone says our rights aren't guaranteed, our military pays for our rights with their lives. If we roll over and die on this issue, then the sacrifices made have been in vain.
