How many of us hunters tote a flippen pen to the woods. hu. Some of you know what I'm talking about. 10 or so years ago we had the punch tags. They were nice all you had to do is punch the month, day, an points. Also the sex with your knife or stick. But we had to tie it to the deer. That was before zip ties. I had a friend that had a deer taken from him at his truck because he had not filled out his tag. Three times I had to walk 45 min. or so to the truck to retrieve a pen. On one account I could not find one. Its important when hunting on public land. This is one time you long for the old times. Don't get the idea that I'm old. I'm not 50 yet. Ha!Ha! Just wanted to give a thought.

I've got one in my backpack, and one in my possibles bag for when I'm using black powder.
I carry a little notepad too. Never know when you might want to write down info about a spot you are hunting to remember it.
Never fails though, it will always end up at the bottom if you need it!

In Pa. where I hunt, you have to display your license on your back, and I always carry a pen, and a bread tie to fill it out, and tag it to the deer.

the old green tags they use to give out, you could write on with a bullet

Had to do that before too.
