This is my first time having my GWCL renewed and was wondering if its normal to have a different Weapons Carry License number than the original License before?

Did you renew it in the same county that you got the other 1 in ?
The only difference is they changed rooms where located in the same building
It’s my understanding the number changes. For example if you lose the one you got. You will have to get a new one with a new number.
That is probably the reason. They copied my old one and asked if i wanted them to dispose of it or keep it. I wanted to keep it until i got the new one since it wasn't and still is not expired. They just told me to destroy the old one when i got the new
I'm just gonna give them a call tomorrow and make sure everything is fine with it before i destroy the old one.
Why even renew it? We have constitutional carry now, a GWL does nothing but allow you to skip a background check only if buying from an FFL. It's a redundant waste of money now.
Unless the constitutional carry is reversed by the democrats taking over the state and it becomes near to impossible to get another gwl
