Alright, this is the 2nd food picture thread.... This is not the book of faces.
There are some good places up near St. Louis I go to when up there. I am absolutely half-German, mother's side, and enjoy the cuisine, but truthfully wouldn't want to eat it 24/7. Place in Mascoutah, IL/Scott AFB area has the best rot kraut/red cabbage ever, vinegar tangy and sweet at the same time, very tasty.
The schnitzel is really easy too make. Anybody want the recipe let me know.
ACHTUNG! I feel like wearing lederhosen and drinking beer from a big glass mug after seeing that plate!

I use Mccormick pork chop seasoning and add 2tbl of red wine sauce to the gravy other than that this is it.
