Getting old sucks

My cousin asked my grandfather what is it like being old?
We were 12. He said one day you will experience a hangover. That's what it feels like. I have had some bad hang overs when I was in college( drinking age was 18) damn I hope he was wrong.

Dying young sucks more. Only in my 50's but miss playing league sports already after some solid injuries.

I like getting/being old. At 50 I look forward to seeing what 109 looks like... I'm betting I'll still be trying to catch the wife bending over..

He hit the nail on the head. It just dawned on me, that's how I'm going to explain it.

Waking up on the top side of the dirt is a good thing....until you try to get out of bed. All the crazy stuff I did in my early years as an adrenaline junky have come home to roost.

I had one hell of a good time getting here and when I think about all the crap I did when I was young, surprises me I made this far without being incarcerated. Old is a state of mind imo. Keeping busy and staying active is important. You stop, you die.

My point exactly. I’m staying busy and moving/working, it just hurts more now.
