Does anybody have any recommendations on a reliable 22lr conversion kit? I plan on having a dedicated lower (preferably gen4) So I’m not too concerned on what it will fit (19/17 etc...)

suggestions on what to look for or what to stay away from are greatly appreciated.

thanks
Mike

The conversion units offered by various manufacturers are hit or miss in my opinion. I have had Ciener and Advantage Arms kits and fired Beretta, Colt and Kimber versions. I believe the tolerances in the machining due to variations of the various frames the kits are made to work with, coupled with the lower quality .22 rimfire ammo we have today, cause the malfunctions the kits are known for.

That said, I had a Ciener 1911 unit a few years ago that worked 99% of the time, and my third Advantage Arms Glock kit, this one for a Glock 29/30 (discontinued) ran so well I bought a 29/30SF frame and built a complete gun.

Tactical Solutions has uppers for the glock in 22lr. I've always been curious as a threaded version would be a fun plinker and trainer. but i haven't seen a lot of feedback on them... have seen one or two for sale on here, but never bothered to ask why the sellers were selling them.

I've got a Colt Ace 22lr, but would like to have something with a threaded barrel and not going to screw up the barrel on that one.. :)
