GLOCK 26 OR 43?

I love my 26. I think it is versatile and if I could only have one carry gun it would be a 26.

But as part of a two gun system where you are going to carry one or the other based on the situation and you are keeping the 19 I would say get the 43.

Honestly I guess we could all argue all day. Different body types will create many differences. I used to comfortable carry a G30 all day IWB. Not anymore though.

I've always thought the 26 was a dumb gun. Every bit as fat as the 19, and most people carry the pinky extension on it anyway. So you really only save yourself about 1/2" of barrel length and nothing else.

And you lose 5 rounds

With a flush mag, yes. As well as gaining concealability. And a flush mag in a 43 you loose 9 rnds. The 26 being just as concealable as the 43 still wins!

I have the G26 and G19 for me that I alternate carrying depending on my mood. The 26 definitely carries better, but I like the way the 19 shoots better.

My wife has a G43 and it's a totally different ball game than either of the others. It feels like a toy in the hand compared to even the 26.

The 19 and 26 are fairly close and the body size/type of the carrier will make the difference on what a person prefers.

The G43 can disappear on a 110lb female in normal girly clothing, something the other two can't very well do.

I've been shooting my 26 and 19 back to back lately and I've realized how much more confident I am with the 19. Accuracy wise, first shot, they're on par. Drawing from concealment is faster with the 19. Followup shots and getting back on target is faster with the 19, as is one handed shooting.

The 19 doesn't carry as well, but the trade off of having more confidence in the gun is worth it and it's not bad at AIWB other than the grip printing more through a t-shirt.

I'm considering selling the 26 and buying an old police trade in Gen 2 19 as a backup gun.

I have a G17, G26, and a G43 . For concealment the 43 wins, for firepower the 26 or 17 wins. For me it comes down to weight. I stick a LCP in my pocket or a J frame most of the time. With a jacket I use the 43. I want to pick up a G19 and try next. My all time favorite is the G30 but just too heavy to carry.
