Glock 43 announced

I have been waiting ever since I heard that the G42 was coming out.. but got tired of waiting and tried Sig. Now I'm not looking back - I love Glocks as personal carry firearms in the larger calibers, but you can't beat the size of the P238 and P938, let alone the safety, sights, etc. Not to say that I won't be buying a G43, but it will be after a couple of years of getting the kinks out of it and letting the price come down to a more manageable $400-$450.

I have no issue with Glock releasing the 42 first. It was a whole new category of pistol for them, and working out the inevitable bugs with a lower pressure round like the .380 makes a lot of sense.

As for the price, the only place Glocks sell for MSRP is here on ODT. The GT ad above tells me that we'll see these in the $400 range once the first wave of 'early adopters' get theirs at full retail.

For all the hate on it, the 42 sold over 200,000 units in a single year. This gun will do much better, since very few PD's would authorize a 380 backup gun, but none of them will have a problem with a 9mm Glock. If they haven't moved 500,000 of these by this time next year I'll be amazed.

Msrp and le price are way off!
Atleast blue label is realistic and comparable to shield/xds/ etc

I wanted one, but now I think I'll stick with LC9. Glock did not even bother to contour the slide. Ruger has much softer edges to break up the gun outline in the pocket (LaserMax helps too, LC9's outline looks like a smartphone's outline), or to keep it from digging in the ribs in the holster.
