Glock Gen 5 vs all the rest...Gen 1-4

Have you sold your Gen 1-4 to go to Gen 5? Are they inherently better than the other Gen s? The only ones that interest me so far is a 17, 19x and maybe a 34.

My G19 Gen 3 is ridiculous. Makes me look like a pistolero and I am a rifleman.

I have heard the trigger is better on the generation 5.. I have had all the generations and the only one I'm keeping is my third generation Glock 21

Just picked up a 19x for $400.
First impressions, the trigger is better. Pull and reset are significantly shorter. That said, range trip yesterday and I grouped better with my gen4 17. The both have FO Target sights, but the front blade on the 19x is significantly thinner. That may be the reason, but who knows. The rifling in the 19x is similar to traditional rifling. The 19x does not drop Magpul mags free but almost expells factory ones with force.

Didn't even pay the shipping from Washington. It fell in my lap and I jumped on it .

I just snagged a Gen5 26 and like the way it feels w/o finger grooves.

The slide finish is noticeable nicer and trigger is okay.


I still prefer my Gen3 32 but maybe it’s because I’ve got more hours/rounds with it?

Don't get rid of what you have for one. My only interest was the new barrel and it doesn't make a difference to me.

I don't see the point in "upgrading" when modding a Glock is pretty much unlimited.

I prefer my Glocks like I do my AKs.....with hammer forged barrels, so Gen 3 and 4 for me.
