Just put a Timney Alpha competition on one and it feels great. We will see over the long run, but I do trust the timney brand. I'm really up for the new Glock though. Disclaimer as always, I'm just a novice learning my way along.

Ive already seen two timney Glock triggers fail, and my timney scorpion trigger is a **** show.Just put a Timney Alpha competition on one and it fells great. I'm actually gonna ask you before I buy any more if you don't mind.Ive already seen two timney Glock triggers fail, and my timney scorpion trigger is a **** show.
Not what I’d want in a carry or duty gun
Have always carried ONLY 1911 but now 2011.I’m all about messing with your guns, but the main benefit of glock besides parts availability is how boringly reliable they are. In my opinion it’s not worth getting rid of that benefit to mess with internals most of the time.I'm actually gonna ask you before I buy any more if you don't mind.Have always carried ONLY 1911 but now 2011.
Boring and ALIVE is always super cool.I’m all about messing with your guns, but the main benefit of glock besides parts availability is how boringly reliable they are. In my opinion it’s not worth getting rid of that benefit to mess with internals most of the time.
I’m boring and carry a factory Glock. Only thing I change are the sights and add a light.
At this point I’ve shot so many rounds with OEM Glock triggers most others feel weird to me. LOL
I would like to try the new version.

Timney isn’t exactly forthcoming with that need to tune. They tout it as a “drop in” part. It most certainly is not… 1 of 4 Timney Alphas dropped in for me.Most Timney Alpha Trigger "failures" that I am seeing are the result of improper installation (or more-accurately: "lack of tuning"). The tension of the Connector is critical on the Timney and if not tweaked, will result in failures to re-set.
Early iterations of the Alpha had the screw that bore directly onto the OEM Trigger Mechanism Housing with no washers. Tightening that screw "just enough" was almost an art form. Too tight and it'd mangle the TMH. Too loose and it'd fall out within a couple hundred rounds. Newer units have a C-washer that distributes the load a little better. A micro-drop of Loc-tite helps too.
If one has the time and temperance to work with it, the Alpha Trigger is very reliable.
