In my statement I was referring to the item itself. We know it’s not a firearm because it cannot fire anything by itself.

In my statement I wasn’t agreeing or disagreeing with the regulation of said items. Here’s what we have all known since being children, “ right or wrong the few cause problems for many.”

In my statement I was stating that trying to use the “atf’s thought process” on why an item is regulated should be left to the lawyers and the courts. And we should do our job of making sure we elect the correct people, who appoint the correct people, Who hire the correct people to enforce such regulation.

My last statement about training and education, doesn’t simply apply to firearms. Just because you study a topic doesn’t make you an expert on that topic, you have to able to apply said knowledge in practice, and you have to be able to relate said knowledge in order for understanding to occur.
As far as I know, firearms cannot fire anything themselves.

Correct. It's generally a very small group making all the noise. In our current case, this is propogated by the media to make us think otherwise.

I completely disagree about understanding the "ATF's thought process". Understanding, not just the laws (rules), but the processes of our system is the responsibility of all of us. Anyone paying attention should understand that we can't just vote our way out of this. We certainly cannot blindly trust any "elected" official.

I completely agree about the training and education. A cursory understanding of Dunning-Kruger effect can go a long way.

Well said. I'm sure malinowski had no concern for the aft thought process. I wonder if his wife caught some skull fragments when atf head shot him in his own home (we know she had his blood on her)?

The phrase "well regulated" in the 2A refers to training, not restrictions.
Yes sir... not to nit pick, it's closer to a meaning of "well prepared". I know it's close enough for us, but there are those out there who will seize on the opportunity to mandate state required training.
