Maybe not that much, but maybe apples and tomatoes. Both are fruits but tomato pie sounds disgusting.
Technically the FRT 'resets' the trigger (and more importantly the disconnector) each time the gun fires so it's only a single operation of the trigger per shot. That makes it semi-auto. It simply allows you to fire at the maximum speed of the firearm, not human finger speed.
Something like the switch never resets the trigger, it allows the action to cycle 'automatically' at whatever rate it was designed to achieve. It essentially disconnects the disconnector (I know, not really) from the system while in full-auto mode.

Yes. The Glock switch results in full auto, the FRT does not. Both are fast, both are constitutional, and even though one is not legally a mg, they may well arrest you for both anyway because desperate tyranny. If you are a NAGR member, you are protected even from harassment by court order. However, aft continued to harass members even after the order; just in case you missed it, atf is no longer operating under rule of law.
If you don’t have a Glock but you have a “switch” is it constructive intent ?
