GM Corp A1 Hydromatic M-16 Pre-Ban Transferable Machine Gun

That lower looks odd as to the roll marks. Looks hand done compared to other GM M16s.

Looks "correct" to me. Most GM lowers were "hand done".

That said, anyone interested in a M1038 HMMWV with a full slantback kit, turret and airlift kit? This is one of my unicorn guns. (AC Delco M2HB is the other)

The first image you posted was #28 of the ones they produced so it's going to be a evaluation model. GM was slinging them out they produced serials 3,000,000 – 3,480,000. Here's another example around those serials where the font looks bad. Have to also consider that "mil-spec" changed right around this time. (My opinion, I'll admit) From things that were built like a tank to things that meet spec at the lowest cost.
