What services does Glock offer other than just night sights and inspections?
Do they do extended mag and slide releases?
What upgrades will they do if any?
How much does these services cost?
Thanks for any info added.....

Glock will do anything to your gun as long as the parts are factory parts. I have been there and have not been charged for the addition of a factory extended slide release and factory 3.5 lb connector on a few Glocks. Turn around time was a mere 30 minutes. Glock factory night sights are great and the armorer told me they were re-branded Meprolights, which are awesome because the white outlining are not painted on like Trijicon's. I have had them on a few Glocks are they charged me $59.99, if I can recall correctly, although that was years ago. Better than the prices for Meprolights at most local gun shops, in my opinion. If you were to have the Non-fully metal lined magazines, they will replace it with the current steel lined with the ambi slot for the reverse magazine catch, also for free. Also they test-fire my Glocks after the parts install to test for function as well. But be careful, if you have parts that are not factory parts already installed on your Glock, they are known to discard the parts and be replaced with factory parts, unless told otherwise. That is all I can remember off the top of my head at the moment. Hope this helps!

Might I add, they will refinish your slide too, upon request. But you will have to leave the gun with them and turn around time was 6 to 8 weeks the last time i checked (last year). They will ship it back to you for free! But then again, who would want to refinish a Glock??? ;)

Correct on all accounts, but when I went in a few months ago, NS were $57, $2 I know, but they are a awesome deal and have 10 yr warranty on them... don't forget to ask for some goodies when you go...

I thing I will add, don't get too excited once you get there, cause once you check in at the gate, they will send you to a small waiting room where your armorer will meet you, you don't get to see the factory or anything (bummer)...

Most of your questions have already been answered but the last time I was there they will do extended mag and slide releases and my night sights were $57ish as well.

Quick question for OneShot or anyone else that may know: Are you sure they will still install the 3.5 lb connectors? I have never asked them to do this but I feel like I remember reading about people on here getting mad because they went to Glock and they wouldn't do it. I could be wrong though, it's happened a few times.

Just as an aside they (Glock) stopped calling it a 3.5lb connector, it's either the 'minus' or 4.5# connector (liability thing). I also have heard people having difficulty getting them to do it if you tell them or they figure it's your carry gun. But I know of others who have gone and told them it was the GSSF competition gun they would do it (in GSSF all parts have to be stock glock pieces). So it depends... mostly on the armorer who meets with you...

So the "minus" and 4.5# are both the 3.5 lb connector or are there two different connectors of differing weight/resistance? Also, what's the reason they won't do it on the carry gun? Is it reliability issues? I'm just curious because I have a Gen 4 Glock 35 and I LOVE the trigger compared to my gen 2 and 3 19s, and I've heard that's the biggest difference in it.

Here's a quick draft list of the services Glock will provide on-site (I updated from a list from FW). If someone's going to Smryna soon and wouldn't mind confirming/updating the services & fees that would be great.

Also, does anyone have any details on what refinishing process they use? I've read that it's a bit different than the factory finish but haven't been able to get any specifics (and I didn't know this when I was at Glock back in May or I'd have asked). FYI, the tech I spoke with was nice enough, but he wouldn't give me an explicit list of what services they would perform (after asking him twice and rephrasing), so if anyone's got additions please update accordingly.

:)

That's the best overview I've seen...thanks.

the 'minus', 4.5# and 3.5lb connectors are all the same... The reasons for the changes are nothing to do with reliability and all are marketing...

-the 3.5lb connector never really gave a 3.5 lb pull it was closer to 4.5lb (5.5 stock)
-more importantly for liability(for glock) it was advised that that safety action pistols come with a minimum 4.5 pull since there are no 'physical' safety... 3.5 pulls are SAO realm

Thanks for the info ocean_glocker. You're a gentleman and a scholar. I may swing by there sometime and have the 4.5# put in for one of my 19s. Gotta love living this close to the factory
