Agreed and let me add a "Hotty Toddy!"I wonder what Orwell would think of the future now. Scary how close we are to his vision.

Try Tim Dorsey. And start with his first novel Florida Roadkill. He has a main character named Serge Storms who is a psychotic and creative serial killer off his meds. He is also a fanatic for all things Florida. He has a sidekick named Coleman who is a pothead and a doper who is up for anything. The second book was called Hammerhead Ranch Motel. It really is a great series.
In Orlando and ready for some OM football!!!Hotty Toddy accepted and many more needed today.
It is. Reading about Serge's creative ways of killing douchebags and his excited enthusiasm in sharing his Florida history and trivia is just too funny.Sounds Interesting
Read all of the Doc Savage books by Kenneth Roberson when I was a kid..Still have many of them and surprising to me is, how much Science fiction used in his books, are reality today.
Add Carl Hiaasen and John MacDonald's Travis McGee area similar vein.Try Tim Dorsey. And start with his first novel Florida Roadkill. Hiaasen was similar to Dorsey and pretty good. As far as other fiction writers I really liked James Lee Bourke with his novels about the old New Orleans Deputy Robichaux.Add Carl Hiaasen and John MacDonald's Travis McGee area similar vein.
