Good Gun shop in Macon

I wasnt too impressed with howards. The staff was helpful, dont get me wrong, but I definitely got an "I'm busy, what do you want?" vibe from the majority of the staff. I also got a "talk to that guy" and me running around trying to figure out who I need to speak with. Its not as friendly as classic firearms or firearm traders. Howards does have an awesome selection, though. And their used gun rack is actually priced like a used gun rack! lol
I hate to hear that, I usually have great service there and the guys like to talk guns unless it's really busy and they don't have time. Maybe it was an off day. And you're right about that used gun rack!

In their defense there were a lot of rednecky dudes there asking silly questions about which round is more powerful, and can I shoot this (insert some kind of tacticool gun) out to 1000 yards, or how fast can I fire this gun?

The staff looked busy and frustrated, that was my impression.

I'd last all of about 3 1/2 minutes behind a gun counter. You think you can get a good read on how stupid the average American is by reading (attempting to read) Facebook posts? Try working in a gun store. There is no I.Q. test for buying a firearm.

I use to make deliveries of guns and ammo to Firearms Trader in Macon
it didn't seem like a rough area to me

In daylight it's not bad. Polly's La Mesa is a decent enough "Murican Messican" restaurant nearby.
Don't be over in the neighborhood behind Pio Nono and North of Rocky Creek Rd after dark.

I think "Club Status" is closed after the 13th murder in the parking lot, but I still wouldn't be on that stretch of Pio Nono late at night.
