Good thing it wuttin a biggin .

Was riding with a friend one night, both of us drunk, two lane South Georgia road, dark, no moon.
’60 Corvair running about 85 mph.
Came around a curve and hit a cow standing in the road, just a heavy thump and hood (trunk?) lid crumpled up covering lower half of the windshield. Front end caved to form a scoop that threw the cow over the top of the car, saving us from being crushed. Only one headlight left, but car was drivable. Turned around and went home.
Looking at car next morning, front end was covered in cow **** and there were hoof drag marks the length of the roof.
Sometimes you get lucky, or maybe there is a higher power that protects drunks and fools.
