Governor's Gun Club-Kennesaw. 1st Impression

Spent an hour there today. Nice range and employees. I'll be back for the techno archery range, beats standing in the back yard sweating thru the summer. They are an obsession dealer and had reasonable prices on bows. They're also going to stock pse in the future.

Bottom line, I'll be back.

So can I shoot my Garand with USGI Ammo??????? I think it’s steel core. Tired to shoot it at Big Woods, and they said NO. But shot it the week before there, just didn’t produce that Ammo for them to check

theres a guy on gunbroker that sells surplus non-magnetic garand food. Its good to keep a few rounds of it handy for such situations

I’ve been to Governors a few times now. Shot at the range once (free with firearms purchase). I’ve been in there enough times now that the sales guys know me by name.

My impressions:
1. Very nice store and location in very convenient
2. All the sales guys I’ve spoke with are very nice and helpful.
3. I used the gunsmith to add a new trigger to a rifle. A bit pricey, but I didn’t have the special punches and such needed. Call that a wash. Happy with the service.
4. It’s an indoor range, so....yeah. Seemed very nice and clean. Didn’t see the 100yard rifle range or the skeet.
5. Prices are a bit high, but not terrible. Go to cabelas, bass pro or any of the other big box and theirs are higher.

Good selection of stuff. It’s a nice place. The vip members areas look nice, but I’m already a member at another club.
