Grandson wants a motorcycle for Christmas

He wants one for Christmas, not happening most likely.
If he gets one at all it will be up to me.


Someone suggested used KTM 50 Senior.

Any thoughts?

Hes not a big kid, novice rider, 10 years old

I believe the old XR is a good bike for all. I'm sure they still make them in all sizes. They are good trail bikes and will last forever. So much fun.

I think any 2 stroke 85cc would work and plenty of power for it to last a 3-4 years

I had gone through jump school and Ranger school already.

Told my mother I bought a motorcycle and she said, "Oh my God! be careful!"

I like Honda or KTM for brands too if you can find one in your range. Big thing is getting a size he can handle. Check this out for details - a 110 is the default target:

I remember starting on a 110. A klr110 if I recall. It was out of my range at the time but it made me a better rider being on a bigger bike.
