Huge deals on PSAK-47s from PSA. From all reviews/torture tests so far, these are THE best US made AKs. And you can have one for as low as $540 shipped (blem Barreled assembly, standard polymer accessory kit). I picked up a standard barreled assembly (you only save $20 on a blem, no thanks) and the MOE accessory kit. They also have nice wood sets and all the sets have the option of adding an ALG trigger for about $60.

This AK passed the AKOU 5000 round torture test, where others like IO, DDI, and the RAS47 FAILED.

These kits only require basic assembly (no rivetting, etc) but they also have complete rifles if you want to pay a bit more.

That's because they're basically DDI AK47s. Also, the DDI had an extractor issue, and the operator decided to stop the test. RAS pretty much sucks. Other people have tested the DDIs so far, and they're proving to be excellent. And now that PSA acquired DDI, you'll see a lot more quality AKs from them.

These are not "basically DDI AK47s", as you stated. PSA was building these long before they acquired DDI.

PSA had problems with cracked cast trunnions, same as IO, IIRC. V2 is supposed to be better, but still no hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel. It is a MUST for shooting bimetal ammo.
Good deal on a US build AK, but I am waiting for Saigas to come back into USA and for prices on Veprs to fall.

Edit: It was IO and RAS who had confirmed cracked cast trunnions. I could not find pics of PSA, just posts about it. The concern with castings is not theoretical strength, but consistency; unless EVERY casting is imaged for voids, etc. It is not been done by any maker.
95% of PSA casts might not be a problem. Do you want to be that 5% who does, or should PSA stick to the Russian milspecs and use a forged part that is guaranteed not to have voids and weak areas?
