Been thinking of giving one a try.
Do any of y'all have any opinions on them?
Not wanting one of the spring type ones but a hub style.
Don't want to break the bank either.
Appreciate any input.

Ameristep. Although after seeing the promos one I've thought about investing in one. I like them for short planted pines we have on our property. I've had deer walk within feet of me in them.

Control your scent, don't move, and realize that it is a lot harder than treestand hunting but IMO it is WAY more fun. Getting on ground level and being that much closer to them is so exciting. Sure, they'll catch you more often but it is worth it. Last season I had 2 bucks within five steps of me on the ground. Now that's exciting.

Sportsman's Guide has some nice ones where one side completely opens up if you want it to. Easy to brush in if you leave it set up, or sets up in about 60 seconds. Deer get close!
