Group Purchase Opportunity for a Community in Panama – Interest Check

As a comparison - I just found another 32 acres nearby - but in the hills (so the terrain is not flat and it is NOT on the Ocean) - it is WAY cheaper to purchase the land - The actual cost is about $99,000 ($3K per acre) - So could probably start with 5 families at $25k each for 1 acre lots (the rest of the land goes to infrastructure - potentially more plats to raise capital, etc).

Jim Jones wasn't in Panama, but I digress.

I've been to Panama several times, and love it for the same reasons-- dollar as currency, short flight to world-class health care if local won't suffice (and for most things, it should). $30 million a day coming in the economy due to canal, all the fiber connections to Europe and NA coming through there, and let's face it-- if the canal is threatened, the US will protect Panama if only for the canal. As my tour guide said: "We have everything Costa Rica has except a live volcano and high prices". They love Jimmy Carter though. Which is weird to contemplate, though the reason is understandable.

I need to read through this whole thread... Panama or Dom Rep were always my retirement choices, due to the gun laws, since I don't want to learn Slovakian.

This is another planned community in Panama (I have no affiliation with it) - it looks like they are strictly residential with security - "ours" will be more geared towards self sustainability as much as feasible.
