Gun Oil

Synthetic motor oil and ATF both work well, and both have their own pros and cons. For the best of both worlds, I prefer the Ed's Red Lubricant. 2 parts synthetic motor oil (the lighter weight, the better), 2 parts ATF, and 1 part STP oil treatment. The STP is there really just to help keep it where you put it. I've been using this recipe for several years with excellent results.

I have been using VHinch's mix as well with excellent results. Speaking of which I am running low my good friend.

+1 for Ed's red.........you just can't beat transmission fluid, motor oils and bearing grease for lubrication, I don't care what kind of stuff you buy in a small bottle at the gun shop, it doesn't get any better than what you use in your engine or transmission. Don't forget WD40 too!
