If you know how to move one it's not that hard. When I had new carpet put in my house me and a buddy moved mine with no problem, it weighs 1860 lbs. with nothing in it and we moved it fully loaded weighing in excess of 2100 lbs. I'm not going to say on an open forum how to do it though.

I agree that moving them around in a room is not that big of a deal. There are a million youtube videos of various methods. I'm talking about moving it in or out of the house. If you live in a one-story ranch it may not be a problem. Going up or down stairs is another story. If you have to go down a steep, muddy slope to get to your basement door (as I did), it can be pain. Even the safe moving companies in town looked at mine and scratched their heads. I ended up doing it but it was not easy.

Yeah I can understand that, I live in a one story ranch style house and wasn't taking into consideration those circumstances......my bad.

FIRE PROTECTION! You will be surprised at how many gun safe sales people will try to tell you their cheap 1/2 hour fireboard is just as good as anything else. I had one tell me, "you really don't need it at all"!!! Those are the ones who have never experienced a house fire. Having been through that nightmare back in 1980, trust me, a little extra $$$ for good fire protection is cheap insurance.

Thanks everyone for your response,ok i think i got it.bigger,thicker,hotter, heavier,no electronic garbage,(which by the way my 17 year old son told me not to get out of shear instinct),and bolted down to the concrete in my basement.oh yeah and Danny will sell me one!thanks to all again!You guys are awesome!
