Gun that means the most to you?

I wish my father had passed down something nice when he died, but all he had was a Marlin Glenfield Mod. 60 .22 Semi-auto rifle and a 1955 Colt Frontier Scout .22. My little brother received these while I got a 2.5 Carat diamond cluster ring. I eventually ended up with the Glenfield a couple years ago. To date, I think the gun that means the most to me is my SHADOW USA 1911A1 (stainless steel). I picked this up about a year ago. I have never heard of one, nor had I ever seen one until this one. I have never seen another. According to what liitle info I could gather, the pistol was made back in the early to mid 1980s in Riverside Co., CA. The original owner said that the serial number was specificly for him when the pistol was made. The pistol is a true work of art. I have many firearms in my collection, but this one really stands out.

^^^ interesting, I was curious as to which firearm Tackleberry would consider as the gun that means the most to him. You do have a few to choose from. That is one fine 1911 and I can see why it afflicts you so. Thanks for the pics, sir.

My grandfathers production yr colt 1911. It is also stamped Springfield armory under the left grip. Was issued to my great grandfather in ww1. He was KIA and it was given to his wife by his best friend. Sat in a cedar gun cabinet for 70 yrs with my grandfather then was passed on to my dad, then to me.

I'm out of town, will have pics mon for ya. Don't get excited the serial no is below 500 and it is beat to hell. Not worth a lot other than sentimental value

Still cool to see a gun that saw combat that long ago. So are you saying a serial number below 500 isn't important as one above?

Mine is a Remington .270 my grandfather gave me when I was 15 yrs old. It will always be a family gun. One day will give it to my boy.
We use to have several other guns that were special, but lost them all to a fire while out of town.
