When Gander Mountain opened up in Newnan a few years ago those pistols were priced at $799, that's just one of the reasons they went out of business down here too. Lol

MSRP's are a way for manufacturers to try and uphold the price that they wish their guns to be sold for on the open market. In order for them to maintain goodwill with their customer base they must keep their price points within certain brackets. A company like Glock for example doesn't want a FFL selling their guns for 1000 bucks while they also don't want them selling them for 200 bucks. They want to maintain a steady price point to keep goodwill with their customers.

Cabelas will soon follow if they don’t shape up. Their sales on their weapons are still more than regular price online and at other retailers.
