I do believe you are wrong , misdemeanor has the 5 year wait.

Forgive me if I am incorrect.

i believe the 5 years after convition is to have your rights restored if it was a felony. for misdemeanor once its all said and done should effect your ability to buy a firearm or get your ccw at all.

I think you two are confusing being legally able to buy a firearm, and getting a GWL.
