Happy to be alive today - our house burnt to the ground last night

I tell ya what - I am very blessed to be alive today... last night at about 2 am , I was awoken by breaking glass... I looked up and the room was burning in front of my eyes..

Luckily , I got everyone up in the house, and we rolled out unscathed.. ten minutes later and the whole house looked like this.

if something wouldn’t have woke me up, I wouldn’t be here.

I am blessed beyond belief .. check your smoke detectors , mine didn’t work

Wow man so glad you and your family are OK. That's so crazy how a cigarette caused all that. Prayers and like everyone else has said please let us know if you need anything.

Glad everyone is okay! I've also experienced a house fire, though not as bad as this, and they really suck. It's been almost 15 years and I'm still very OCD about any potential sources of fire. If they weren't so expensive I'd have a sprinkler system installed in my home.

Thank you brother but don’t worry , I am A okay, I appreciate you guys a lot - everyone check your smoke alarms - mine did not work

I replace my batteries when time changes twice a year,it helps me keep up when I done it last.

Holy ****. You and your family are lucky. My dad died in a house fire, people sleeping through it is a real thing.
