Has anyone NOT learned their lesson?

I learned my lesson. I was low on 9mm before the scare and never restocked because I wasn't shooting much at the time. Started shooting more and struggled to find any in stock. I ended up getting 500 rounds from GA Arms and then last month picked up another 1000 rounds from Freedom Munitions. Will probably pick up another 1000 in the next month or so. Also went ahead and picked up some new guns these last couple months that I had been waiting for prices to drop on. Now to continue my ammo stockpiling for the new guns.

I started reloading pistol rounds largely because of "the scare". Now, if more ammo companies would start loading 300blk, I would finally build the suppressed SBR I've been wanting so badly. And, no, I don't want to reload rifle rounds.

I created a monthly budget for ammo. The third week of the month, I look for who has best price including the shipping and spend the budget. I will chekc out Walmart when i am there but will not burn gas traveling to seek a deal. I am mainly concentrating on practice ammo right now so when crunch comes i will not have to resort to the "good stuff" for paper punching.

I stocked up on 9mm, but then bought an Mp5 so now I'm habitually out of 9mm.

I bought a bunch of suppressors in case 41p becomes real

I have like 6 Ar lowers and only 3 uppers, I'm so tired of AR's and semiauto stuff in general. Actually i'm tired of anything within 100yards.

I've got like 12 mags for Ar's I really don't need any more than that, also most of them are 20rd mags.

I'm just not craving things that are likely to get banned since I never really use em.

I find it difficult to believe that there would ever be a magazine or AR scare again. It seems everyone that wanted an AR before has one and people are ban-weary. I haven't been aware enough during scares prior to 2012 to really understand the cycle.

There are new folks getting in to the shooting sports and collecting everyday. Hell, some folks that may have wanted an AR in 2012 might not have been old enough to purchase one.

I have friends that paid big bucks for AR mags after the newtown murders, and they had piles in their closets. The panic isn't always representative of the actual threat, but it's the panic that drives the market.

I guess that is true. I've often wondered the same thing. You read threads about the days when WASRs were $300. Maybe in a few years we'll be reminiscing about the days of $500 PSA ARs? My vision is also clouded by being on ODT often and somehow thinking the average person has as much stuff as the average ODTer.
