Well, I guess all you Glock afficionados have jinxed me. That, or I shoot a lot of different (factory) loads that some of you may not have never tried. Have owned 3, a G23, a G27, and a G36 and I have had jams with all of them depending on ammunition. To be fair, the G27 was the most reliable, but it hated Hydra-shoks. My G23 was reliable with Fed Champion 180gr FPs & Hydra-shoks, but hated WW Ranger 165gr HPs. My G36 has been reliable with hardball and most any reloaded (gasp!) LSWC I feed it, but it hates most factory 230gr HPs, especially Hornady XTPs. Still experimenting with it, but none of them are as reliable as my worked-over Series 70 Gold Cup. I just see them as another gun...they all have their warts if you look hard enough for them. <flame on!>

Never had any issues with one although I took a 27 up one time right after a trade and at one point a member had tried to install a different trigger and dud it wrong, needless to say they made it right. While I was waiting, a Guy went in with a frankenglock. Shot so much that slide, barrel, and frame were all replaced at different points. Then there was a crack in the frame... glock gave the gentleman a brand spanking new Gen 4 19 and destroyed the bad pistol. Can't beat their customer service.

I have between 150,000-200,000 rounds through Glocks over the last 25 years. While I've had a few stoppages they have been infrequent... usually a new gun getting broken in or an older one that needed some parts replaced.

I've had some that had broken parts, such as an old gen. 3 G-23 with a broken frame, that still ran perfectly.
Out of the box they consistently work with minimal fuss.

Of the guns that come through our classes, we have less trouble out of them than any other platform.
I will say that the XD's also seem to run really well & the S&W's have improved considerably.
We had a big Basic Defen. Handgun class today & as usual all of their Glocks ran well as did the XD & M&P.
And as usual the 1911 had a few issues but ran ok overall.

The new M&P .45 compact that I was breaking in had exactly one FTF per mag. for each of the first 6 mags. shot through it
It grouped decent at 7 yds. though.

I had the same issues with my 40c the first time I took it to the range. Both mags had one FTF each, then for some reason, it cleared up. Have no idea what that was about and haven't had one since.

Had my first FTF today, Glock 22 RTF2 with Flat tip .40S&W from Georgia Arms. Could have been a limp wrist, but I've never had it happen before with over 500rounds through the gun. I blame the ammo as their rounds have been finnicky with me in other guns.

My G33 on the other hand, not a single failure with 500 rds of FMJ through it and about 150 hollow point.

Of all the ammo I've burned through Glocks, I can honestly say that I can count gun-related issues on one hand. If I ever have a problem it's almost always related to bad ammo.

I've also found that the more you tinker away from stock parts, the more likely the guns are going to start running like crap. While I've always kept stock parts (even though they may be extended or lighter pieces), I've known several guys chase problems because of lighter springs, different connectors and triggers, etc.

The trigger was not my favorite but that's an individual preference.
I can see why so many people like them so well. I believe it will work fine once it's broken in.

Agree 100%.
