17L for me. no problems when i shoot it but jams every other shot when my girlfriend shoots it. i know its due to limp wristing, or whatever the cool kids are calling it now days, but to be fair shes never had this problem shooting any of my other pistols. even my friends 9mm hi point never gave her a problem.

I have a gen 1 17 and a 35. I haven't had an issue with either ever. I've had the 17 going on 20 years I can't remember having a FTF or fed issues and I've always shot the cheapest crappiest stuff.

i have two glocks, a OD 17 and a 26. never had a problem with either. actually have used both in pistol and 3 gun comps. I go lim 10 with the 26 just for fun/practice. the 26 is on my hip whenever i go anywhere ( i have a permit, live in jonesboro, go to atl a lot) so belive me if i trust mine and my wifes life too it, i believe in the gun.
besides the price cant be beat. its on the low end of the major manufacturers. Who needs to drop $900 on a sig or HK? are they REALLY %180 better than a glock to justify being %180 of the price? i didnt think so.
besides, living in ATL its jst too easy. Any time you want, for the rest of the guns existence (you dont even have to be origional owner), all you have to do is drive up to smyrna to the glock factory and they will inspect/clean/upgrade your gun for free while you wait. try getting that deal from someone else.
I know an instructor who has a G19 that has had thousands of rounds through it and hasnt cleaned it in years. there are 5 places on the gun that literally needs 1 drop of oil every once in a blue moon and it will never quit. its designed to be run bone dry if you have to. gun was built for the austrian army. it gets very cold there. oil can freeze in sub zero temps so glock designed the gun to be run dry in the winter to prevent that from happening. it doesnt have to be dripping with lube like some guns.
buy a glock. or three.
