Have you ever seen these on a pistol?

That's not to catch brass. It's an optical device that's bends the view over the suppressor so you can still use your iron sites.
I didn't think about that. It's just an old TV show - but none of the cast used their sights. They just aimed in the general direction and pulled the trigger. One scene shows the empty case still trapped inside the cover, when the pistols are being disposed of.

There was a previous episode from 1971 where a nefarious character has a custom rifle designed and built in West Germany. It's chambered for 45ACP and can hit targets up to 250 yards away using a very high trajectory - all via radio control. So there's that..... Of course it was also very expensive and took over a year to design and build.

They should have just gone with the old movie industry standard silenced revolver.
This is the 1970s!!! They gotta have something more groovy than a detective special.
