Lost a buffer tube detent spring.. used a Vic pen spring to get it running.. found spring on top of window molding two years latter when putting up Christmas garb

Now gun OEM again

My Colt instructor said "don't even bother looking for them, just come and get a few more up front". He had a bin of detents and springs.

Years back I lost a small sear spring from a M&P. Spent hours looking for it. Flashlight and magnet to no avail. Found it days later in my dogs fur. She was laying down on the floor next to me when I was working on it.
