Hazards of free range brass

Picked up some free range brass in 45 acp the other week. Got it cleaned and ran it through a sizer die before reloading. Found this casing that someone did not like the size of the flash hole.

All of it went to the scrap bucket!!

I guess you never know until you punch the primer out... I've never seen that before, however...

I have seen plenty of them before. Factory done for use with the newer "green" lead free primers. Threw all mine out too, until I read up on the companies doing it for "enviro-mental" reasons......

got some like that to thought someone was PLAYING with flash hole to !!!!!!!! load them up and shoot it again

I guess you will find more of that brass at an indoor range. I pick up my brass at outdoor ranges only.

Man, now THAT is a flash hole. I've never seen any like that before.

loadnplenty, I throw all of the small primer pocket .45 stuff in the brass bin.

Same here, they are the "non-toxic" primered type brass.
